Choose the area before the hotel
Consolação suits quieter evenings and a south-coast base. Peniche is an alternative for restaurants, everyday services and town visits. Baleal offers beach options for groups with different interests; Ferrel can suit longer stays when the property’s location and transport work for you.
Compare the actual beach journey, not just the straight-line distance. A listing described as ‘near Supertubos’ does not guarantee a comfortable walk or an easy return after dark without transport.

Cancellation, breakfast and arrival

Throughout the year, choose your base around meals, transport and the beaches you want to visit. For a surf trip, ask about board storage and wetsuit drying space. In cooler months, check heating and room conditions too.
